What Are These Heartburn Pregnancy Myths I Keep Hearing About?
This is kind of an odd topic to be talking about but it is very relevant to the subject. I am sure you have heard about these myths. Some of them are so absurd that you wonder who came up with them. Well, there is some truth behind some of these heartburn pregnancy myths. Most of them are an absolute joke. Here are some of the most common myths about having heartburn while pregnant.
1. Growing More Hair
I am sure that this is by far the most common of all of the myths. It has been said that if you are dealing with heartburn while pregnant. Then your child will be born with a lot more hair. This is actually quite funny to me. The fact that people will believe anything that they head is hilarious. No, your child will not be born with more hair if you have heartburn while you are in pregnancy. This myth has been busted multiple times and should not be taken seriously.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar
Another myth about pregnancy and heartburn is. Apple cider vinegar will not be effective for heartburn if you are pregnant. This is also a huge misconception and is not true at all. Apple cider vinegar can be used and is actually one of the best natural remedies for heartburn while pregnant. If you have never tried using it then I would suggest you give it a try and quit listening to what everybody keeps telling you.
3. You Cant Have Heartburn If You Are Having A Boy
Such an outrageous lie that I have heard. I am not sure if you have heard this one but I sure have and it made me chuckle a bit. Weird enough I could not find anybody who was talking about this online. I have been told this almost my entire life. If you have heartburn you must be having a girl! Just a ridiculous statement. Nothing like that will ever play a part in the gender of your child. I promise if you were told that, it was a myth.
When it comes down to it I am not a doctor. Natural remedies work very well and should be taken advantage of. But ultimately you should be checking with your doctor to make sure that these are okay for you to do. Most of the time the natural remedies will almost NEVER be harmful to your child. It is still a good idea to always be safe. Make sure to check with your primary health physician to get the best idea of what is okay for your baby.
