There comes a point in everybody’s life when you have to decide whether or not if you want to eat healthy or if you want to eat junk the rest of your life. Sure a little but of junk food is okay every once and a while but lets be honest, eating junk food on a daily basis can lead to multiple complications with your health. Some which can actually be life threatening and that is not something to take lightly. About a year ago I came to a decision that I was going to change the way I eat.
The main reason to my decision was I had started to have complications with my heart, my blood pressure was starting to get incredibly high and a few other problems with my digestion. Another important reason was that I was in the beginning stages of developing type 2 diabetes. So I began my quest for a healthy lifestyle, instead of going to taco bell and my local pizza parlor I started shopping at my local whole foods and health store, (hagens). I was unsure of what to buy so I just bought everything that I thought would be at least decent for me to eat.
So I brought all of the food home with me and looked up a few recipes online, searched for some free ones but most of them seemed pretty complicated and I really didn’t want to deal with something like that.It seemed like a pretty big hassle just to find some decent healthy recipes. Until I found This Site, it was literally a “Health Cookbook” and looked like it had some pretty delicious recipes in it.
It had healthy deserts, slow cooker meals, smoothie recipes, four course meals, and pretty much anything you could think of. I ended up buying the recipe book it was actually pretty cheap. I figured if I was going to eat healthy then I was going to do it the correct way and not screw around with free online recipes.
After I bought the book I got to download it onto my computer and got instant access which is actually pretty cool if you ask me.At first it was incredibly overwhelming how many different recipes there were, the more I read the hungrier I got. One of the recipes that caught my eye was the baked apples with honey and walnuts, it looked so amazing I had to make it then and there. I had all the ingredients so I followed the recipe and it was absolute perfection.
Tasted like heaven and it was pretty damn healthy as well. So since I have had the book I have only used about 100 recipes and its been over a year! There are 470 different meals that you can make and almost all of them look amazing and I will probably end up eating them all. And the best thing about it is they are really healthy. Since I have been using the recipes I have lost 15 pounds and my blood pressure is at a normal number.I also have not had any problems with my diabetes which is amazing!
